These are the terms and conditions of the hire and disclaimer of J Events.
Please read these carefully, and sign at the bottom to signify that you acknowledge and accept these terms and conditions. If you are unsure of anything please ask or contact us.
Once set up, the safe operation is your responsibility; the proprietors shall not be held responsible for any accidents/injuries obtained.
A responsible adult (aged 18 and over) must be supervising the children at all times whilst on the inflatable(s).
Deflate the inflatable when it is not being supervised - or not in use. Furthermore, keep the children off of the equipment when inflating/deflating to prevent risk of injury, and to protect the inflatable structure.
Do not allow anyone - child or adult - to swing, climb, hang or sit on the inflatable wall. This can be very dangerous and potentially result in serious injury if they were to fall.
Do not allow anyone - child or adult - to bounce on the front safety step. The safety step is intended to assist users in getting on/off safely.
Ensure the inflatable(s) is not occupied by more than the recommend number of users. The reason for this policy is to allow room for each person to play and jump in a safe environment. Moreover, please attempt to avoid small and large children using the inflatable(s) at the same time. Children (classified as the age of 11 and under).
Please make children aware of the tie down/anchor points, and make the area behind the inflatable(s) - where the electric blower is sited - out of bounds for children.
Children must not switch blowers on / off.
All shoes, badges, jewellery, sharp items must be removed. We also recommend spectacles to be removed.
No toys allowed on the inflatable, thus preventing risk of injury and protecting the inflatable(s).
No food, sweets, gum or drinks to be consumed whist on the inflatable(s). Our reasoning for this is to avoid mess and prevent the occurrence of choking.
No face paints, party poppers, coloured streamers or silly string should be used on the inflatable(s) as they can stain the inflatable(s) - for which you will be liable for payment to clean and replace.
No smoking, fires or barbeques to be used near the inflatable(s).
No pets to be allowed on the inflatable(s).
Any person under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs shall not be allowed to use or supervise the inflatable(s).
Ensure that no individual with a history of heart, neck or back problems; high blood pressure; joint or bone weakness or any person with a history of known medical disabilities is allowed to use the equipment. Also, any individual who feels unwell should remove themselves immediately.
In the event of heavy rain or high winds, the inflatable should not be used for safety reasons. When it is safe to re-use the inflatable, towel dry any remaining wetness before allowing the inflatable to be in use again.
No water fights as the inflatable can become slippery and dangerous.
Occasionally check that the inflatable(s) is/are still securely pegged down.
If the inflatable(s) fails in any instance, evacuate immediately to prevent injury.
Please remember if the inflatable(s) / item(s) is /are dirty or damaged when collected, the hirer is liable for the full repair or cleaning cost and any loss of earnings.
You will be liable for all repair costs and losses if any damage is caused by malicious use or through not following the safety instructions.
If hired overnight, all the accessories (blower, all electrics and mats) are to be stored indoors.
If hired late/overnight the inflatable(s) should not be used, unless there is sufficient lighting to light up the inflatable(s).
The hirer should inspect the equipment and any accessories supplied to confirm that they are supplied in the good condition. Any faults should be brought to the attention of a member of our staff.
Please remember no somersaults, pushing, fighting, wrestling, acrobatics or behaving in a manner likely to cause injury or damage as this can result in serious injury, or damage to the equipment. Any reckless or boisterous behaviour must be stopped immediately.
Do not allow any individual to interfere, adjust or repair any electrical items - even if qualified to do so. Failure to do so may result in additional cost for the replacement or repair of damaged parts.
Our inflatable(s) have been constructed to a high standard and maintained to that high standard; please help us to keep them that way. Keep the inflatable(s) clean and do not let it get damaged, soiled or graffitied.
If hiring a ball pool please ensure all / as many as possible of the balls are returned to ball pool or bag for balls this will help us get you out of venue in time.
Sadly, NO Face paint is allowed on a range of our items / inflatables as they can cause staining which could result in a cleaning bill or replacement of item. No Face paint for our White, Pastel, Yellow, Mint item(s) / inflatables & our Assault Courses.
If a Face painter is attending for item(s) agreed they must be insured, (which we ask for a copy of their public liability insurance around the time of a deposit / booking has been made) please ensure all paint / glitter etc is cleaned off of all item(s) ASAP to avoid staining which could result in a cleaning bill or replacement of item(s)
No Silly String on anything
Disclaimer:
It is the hires’ responsibility to ensure there is a suitable flat, clear, tidy, safe and spacious area for the inflatable(s) to be placed. It is the hires’ responsibility to ensure there is sufficient height and width for the inflatable(s) to be inflated.
Standard castle height is 9.5ft however we ask for 10ft clearance.
Please check the rules on the use of the inflatable(s) with the venue management if the inflatable(s) is to be in a hired at a venue.
If hired outside at home or a venue, same rules apply must be real grass for inflatable(s) to be pegged down.
Please note not all halls/venues have private area outside of the hall it might be public field / park etc but if not owned by the hall / venue or even a fenced off area you will need to ask permission with the council (the hall/venue will be able to help advise on this)
For delivery and collection, of standard castle or smaller item(s) we require a minimum access width of one metre.
We are only able to deliver and collect inflatable(s) to ground floor locations, unless there is a lift.
We are unable to deliver to any location which requires access by using stairs for many reasons. One being health and safety on staff due to the weight of the inflatables going up / down.
Failure to meet these requirements may result in the setup of the inflatable(s) being aborted, with the hirer still being charged the full hire amount. No deposits will be refunded.
All individuals using the inflatable(s) do so at their own risk.
The person or organisation responsible for hiring the inflatable(s) will be responsible/liable for any damage or injury occurring from, or as a result, of misuse or reckless use.
These guidelines are for the safety of all people using the equipment and it is the sole responsibility of the hirer to ensure they are adhered to. Our company cannot accept any responsibility for any injury or damage caused to property or individuals using the equipment.
Public liability insurance is excluded in its entirety following any claim or injury to any third party or employee, whether directly or indirectly, related to the use of drug and/or alcohol.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Provided that the equipment is used in accordance with the above guidelines and conditions of hire, those using the inflatable(s) should do safely, although accidents can happen. J Events can accept no liability for injuries sustained or any other loss, caused in the absence of negligence of the hirer – whether it is an individual or organisation - or their employees. As the equipment will be in the hirers’ possession and control whilst in use, rather than of J Events, any liability for injuries, or other losses caused, rest with the hirer. Accordingly, it is strongly recommended that the hirer has adequate public liability insurance covering his/her liability arising from the use of the inflatable(s).
By signing this documentation, I declare that I have read, understood and agreed to abide by these terms and conditions of the hire listed above, and any other operating and safety instructions supplied with the equipment.
